This is coming a little early since I am going on a small weekend getaway tomorrow : ) (right before the storm, during the storm?
) Don’t worry loyal fan fans, I will be back to blog about my adventures on Saturday night. Where am I going? Bahaha! Stay tuned to find out! (I am really just kidding. It’s not half as exciting as I am making it sound.. just wanted to add some mystery to the atmosphere ^__________^;)
SOOOOO, who do we have this week? YUMMAY YUMMAY (hint).

Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield!

Actually, I guess it was kind of lame to ask you guys to guess, seeing as how the logo is like SCREAMING in the background. I didn’t really know a darn thing about Ben & Jerry’s until today’s post (other than the fact that they make delicious ice cream, of course!). Here are some facts from Wikipedia:
- Started their “company” in 1980
- Were lifelong hippie friends (lol, of course they were, suddenly their commercials and flavours like “Half Baked” begin to make sense..)
- Famous for “What’s the Doughboy Afraid Of?” campaign – filed lawsuit against the Pillsbury Company when Häagen-Dazs tried to limit Ben & Jerry’s distribution (wuuuuuuuuut? I had no idea that Häagen-Dazs was even owned by Pillsbury! and apparently Pillsbury is owned by General Mills – the food industry is so incestuous)
- Has worked with NGOs like the World Wildlife Fund
- LOL, this one I still remember: “On September 25, 2008 Tracy Reiman from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals sent a letter to Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield suggesting that in order to prevent cruelty to dairy cows that Ben & Jerry’s should use human breast milk in their ice cream products.” – Wikipedia
I would like to publicly thank Ben and Jerry for the partnership that introduced me to the love of my life! (after James Franco and Changminnnnnnnnnie of course : ) )
I never understood the obsession with gross raw cookie dough (I used to work at Baskin Robbins, I’m a traitor :O ) – then, I found it.. the Holy Grail. Actually maybe I shouldn’t go that far, it’s a close race between Half Baked and Strawberry Cheesecake from Baskin Robbins (I’m not a TOTAL traitor..)
