I’m sorry about my post from yesterday. I never realized that this type of thing would upset people. Maybe I watch too many episodes of C.S.I. or something, but talking about death has never really bothered me. Morbidity isn’t something that I’m fascinated with either, but like I said, I’m pretty desensitized towards the whole topic and I am the type of person that would enjoy a movie like Saw. I apologize! Please don’t take it too seriously. I posted the chart because it seemed trivial to me, but now I realize that it may not be interpreted that way by everyone else. Sorry.

Yesterday, in my conservation biology lab, our class was discussing this article that we had to do an assignment on. It was printed in the New York Times about a year ago: Kill the Cat That Kills the Bird? It’s a pretty lengthy article, but if you have the time you should read it because it brings up some pretty interesting ethical dilemmas. To give you the gist of it, it talks about a man who was put on trial for shooting feral cats that were killing endangered birds in the area.

My T.A. attempted to split us up into two groups: the “cat group” and the “bird group”. Of course, nobody was dumb enough to raise their hands for the cat group in a conservation biology lab of roughly 20 people (some of whom were very opinionated). Finally, some brave soul at the front of the room said “Why don’t you create an undecided group?”. About 5 of us ended up joining that.. I was one of them. In all seriousness, these cats are invasive and messing around with native ecosystems by killing these defenseless birds, but they are just doing what cats do. It’s not like they actually know that these birds are endangered, and it’s not like they have any idea that they’re an invasive species. Maybe the real blame should be put on the people who didn’t neuter them and let them run off into the wild. Are we going to shoot those people too? I don’t disapprove of killing the cats, if that is absolutely necessary, but surely there has to be a more humane way than hunting them down with shot guns. I brought this point up, but someone quickly countered with “Some would argue that shooting them is humane.” Really? Shooting them like game and leaving their innards splattered everywhere? I’m sorry to be graphic, but it’s a very degrading way to die. I was especially irked when some girl at the end of the lab suggested that they have a “cat hunting license” as a solution. What? -____________-; Maybe I am being a bit too compassionate, but they are just animals doing what animals do, they don’t deserve the humiliation.

I think in my previous blog I created an ode to the belt. I actually don’t even wear belts anymore, probably because I don’t need any help keeping my pants up -________-; Sorry guys, I have been slacking as of late! I’m very busy with school. Next week is pretty much the week of death for the term, so I am trying to prepare early. All that I can think about is psychology and neurodegenerative disorders O_________o everything else has become secondary. I haven’t even been watching my shows lately *terror*
So, where do I begin? Well, yesterday I was out doing a long put-off round of groceries. I was filling up my basket pretty nicely, and it never occured to me to start adding the prices together. Anyhoo, I was armed with $55 and nothing else. I mean, why would I EVER need $55 for groceries? That was my thought at the time. Since blackberries were on sale for 99 cents and they are full of antioxidizing goodness, I loaded up with four boxes. If grade school has taught me anything, it is that high stacks of blocks have a tendency to tumble over. When I was finished, I lined up.. minding my own business and sneaking peaks at the covers of gossip rags that I knew I would never buy (but still I love to snoop about the headlines so I can atleast have an inkling of what’s going on in the celebrity world) – usual activities. As my turn approached, I heaved my basket onto the rolling thingamajigger. Going with theme of application of school knowledge, as I learned in physics.. momentum = bad for berry boxes. The fourth box at the top of my stack came flying out and hit the ground. I felt like everything was moving in slow motion O_____O. You know, those scenes where people are screaming “NOOOOOOOOOOOO!” in funny digitally altered voices. The blackberries spilled everywhere O_________o in the busy supermarket. I was very embarrassed that I had made a mess of things. As one of the workers quickly cleaned up, he was like

This baby was the LUCKIEST baby in all of Asia, and she doesn’t even know it. Btw, is she not the cutest thing ever? Kyo~kyo.. kawaii.. WHATEVER, ADORABLE!!!!!! Where can I steal find a plump little baby like this? Someone must tell me! Seeing Yunho act so tenderly with the baby was ^_______________^. This baby probably dished out the only rejection that Hero will ever receive from the female gender in this life time. Holy crap, baby! Not only did Jaejoongie hold you in his arms, but he serenaded you and wiped away your tears! You are living out Joanna’s dream! Don’t shit on it. I can hear Joanna crying right now.
