EPIC COUPLE OF THE WEEK!

This week I pulled my inspiration from.. none other than.. the TV!  Here we go:

#7: Detective Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler of Law and Order SVU

Detective Benson and Stabler are a butt-kicking fictional twosome within the Special Victims Unit of the New York City Police Department.  They work together to resolve “sexually based offenses [that] are considered especially heinous”.  Iirc, they base some episodes on real cases.  I think that Law and Order SVU is my favourite show out of the whole “crime/drama” genre that has exploded over the past few years with the advent of C.S.I.  Here are some of the ones that I can just name off the top of my head: C.S.I., C.S.I. Miami, C.S.I. New York, Criminal Minds, NCIS, Bones, Mentalist, Numb3rs etc. etc.  It’s totally ridiculous, what’s even more ridiculous is that I watch a lot of them, so seriously guys, I know what I’m talking about here.  What I especially like about SVU is that there isn’t always a happy ending.  I hate crime shows that always end off with someone shitting rainbows – life just isn’t like that!  If this is any indication of the merit of Law and Order SVU, Mariska Hargitay (the actress that plays Det. Olivia Benson) is currently the highest paid television actress.  She earns an average of $300 000-340 000 per episode, TOTALLY CAH-RAAAAZY O__________o.  However, it’s well deserved because it’s a great show and she’s an amazing actress.  Here she is with her son – soooo cute ^_______^

This week’s episode featured an appearance from Sarah Hyland, an 18 year old actress who is probably most renowned for her role as Brooke Shields’ daughter in Lipstick Jungle not that anybody actually watches this, but I thought that I would mention it.  I never really thought much of her in Lipstick Jungle, where she plays a sexually frustrated teenager.  Her role in the show doesn’t really give her much to do..  so I was totally surprised by her performance in Law and Order SVU – it was great!  I guess Law and Order brings out the best in people ^_________^  Case and point: the gorgeous newcomer Michaela McManus of One Tree Hill shame fame.  This week we also learn that 17 hours without sleep is equivalent to having a 0.05 or worse blood-alcohol content O_________o - iz troubled az student.

Oh man, if I knew about anything as much as I know about television.. my life could be so different.
